The trailer, narrated by the iconic Captain Cyrus of the Blood Ravens, showcased epic, large-scale battles, a new narrative, and a commitment to the classic base-building and deep tactical gameplay that defined the original. Classic RTS Gameplay, Modern Polish

The core philosophy behind Dawn of War 4 is a direct response to fan feedback: a return to the classic real-time strategy formula. The gameplay is a celebration of the first game, focusing on capturing resource points, building and customizing your base, and managing a large army in brutal, close-quarters combat. The developers at King Art Games, known for their work on the excellent alternate history RTS Iron Harvest, have been studying the blade and bolter to get this right. The game is set approximately 200 years after the events of Dawn of War: Dark Crusade, returning to the iconic planet of Kronus. The campaign is a massive undertaking, with over 70 missions across four distinct storylines, each with a branching narrative based on player choices. For the first time in the series, the tech-obsessed Adeptus Mechanicus will be a playable faction, joining the fan-favorite Blood Ravens Space Marines, the savage Orks, and the ancient Necrons. The diverse playstyles of these factions—from the Space Marines’ elite durability to the Orks’ focus on cheap, mass-scale units—ensure a rich and varied strategic experience.
